Elmhurst Police closed down a portion of Butterfield Road in Elmhurst on Wednesday afternoon to conduct an accident investigation. A road worker was struck by a vehicle and had to be transported to Elmhurst Hospital. Butterfield Road was being repaved at the location of the accident. No further information was available.
