Police Reports

Area police departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

 

Addison

 

Nov. 8

Police said William Petrole IV, 47, of Glendale Heights, had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office subsequent to a traffic stop in the 600 block of Factory Road at around 9 a.m.

 

Nov. 6

Filiberto Barron-Flores, 28, of Addison, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance subsequent to investigating a suspicious vehicle at Byron Park at around 8:39 p.m.

 

Nov. 5

Police said that after investigating a report of a hit and run traffic accident near Hale and Dale at around 6:50 p.m., Ramon Medina-Molina, 46, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, obstructing identification, obstructing a police officer, driving while license suspended, and additional traffic offenses. It also was determined that Median-Molina had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, according to police.

Martin Silva, 22, of Addison, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon subsequent to an investigation of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Michael Lane at around 9:45 p.m.

Villa Park

 

Nov. 2

A 21-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault, while a 21-year-old Burbank man was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 100 block of N. Cornell at around 9:46 a.m.

 

Nov. 1

Eliana Collazo, 31, of Aurora, was charged with fleeing to elude police, expired driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control signal, speeding, no insurance and failure to signal when required near North and Westwood at around 1:42 a.m.

A 50-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery in July, 2017. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued Nov. 1.

A male juvenile from Villa Park was charged with battery at Willowbrook High School at around 12:30 p.m.

Theft of lost or mislaid property was reported at a store. Police said an unknown suspect stole a purse that was inadvertently left in a shopping cart sometime between 2:28 and 7 p.m.

 

Oct. 31

Edward D. Brown, 19, of Villa Park; Casey L. Robinson, 18, of Lombard; and David J. Tucker, 19, of Oakbrook Terrace were charged with possession and discharge of an air rifle/guns in the 700 block of W. Roy at around 10:31 p.m.

Shanon S. Porter, 20, of Riverdale, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle in the 200 block of W. Stone on July 6. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued on Oct. 31.

 

Oct. 30

Forgery was reported at a gas station at around 11:33 p.m. Police said unknown suspects used counterfeit bills to make a purchase.

Attempted retail theft was reported at a store at around 5:38 p.m. Police said unknown suspects loaded a shopping cart with items and attempted to exit the store with the cart. When an employee attempted to stop them, the suspects left without the items.

Forgery was reported at a store at around 9:04 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect used two counterfeit bills to make a purchase. The item was later returned for cash.

 

Oct. 29

Retail theft was reported at a store. Police said an unknown suspect removed items from a display shelf sometime between 2:28 and 2:36 p.m. and leave the store with the items without paying.

 

Oct. 28

Veronica B. Krakowiak, 31, of Villa Park, was charged with aggravated battery, DUI, resisting and disobeying a stop sign at 1 Ovaltine at around 1:56 a.m.

 

September 2017

Theft of mail was reported in the 200 block of W. Division. Police said an unknown suspect signed for certified mail belonging to a previous tenant and never gave the addressee the mail.
