Norma DeKoker Batina Barnard, loving widow of Harold C. Barnard, born Feb. 12, 1921, passed away peacefully at Alexian Brothers Hospice on Aug. 25 2018.
A memorial service will be held at the Lombard Church of the Nazarene, 536 N. Columbine Ave. (Route 53), Lombard, today, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m.

Ralph T. Fleischman Sr., age 83, of Carol Stream, formerly of Lombard, died Aug. 24 peacefully surrounded by family.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 27, with a Marine Corps League Service at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment private.
Ralph was preceded by his beloved wife Patricia. Survived by his loving children, Linda (Stephen) Czyz of Elk Grove, Ralph T. (Deborah) Jr. of West Chicago, Mark (Teresa) of Oak Park and Karen F. of Warrenville; seven grandchildren Kristen (Jeff) Allen of Winfield, Kelly (Chris) Johnson of Lakemoor, Ryan T. Arnold of Wisconsin, Kisa (Patrick) Cullen of Brookfield, Sara F. of Chicago, Eric F. of Chicago, Nina F. of Oak Park; two great-grandsons, Clark and Dean; and his sister, Patricia Thumm, of Kentucky.
Ralph had been married for 62 years. He lived for 15 years in Carol Stream, and had previously lived in Lombard for over 45 years. Ralph was a sergeant in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War. Ralph was an owner of Towne Realty in Lombard for many years and Deputy Assessor at York Township until retirement. Ralph was a member of the DuPage County Marine Corps League and Lombard Chamber of Commerce.
