The IC Catholic Prep boys basketball team reached the championship game of the Class 2A Timothy Christian sectional in Elmhurst.
The Knights dropped a 55-29 decision to Chicago Orr in the title game. IC Catholic Prep was the No. 4 seed in sub-sectional A, while Orr was the No. 1 seed in sub-sectional B.
IC Catholic Prep reached the final after scoring a 61-51 win over Chicago Clark, which was the No. 2 seed in the Timothy sub-sectional B.
The Knights reached the sectional round by defeating Timothy Christian, which was the No. 1 seed in sub-sectional A.
Alex Meurer led the Knights with 11 points in the game against Orr.
Orr advanced to play Chicago Hope Academy earlier this week in the Class 2A Joliet Central supersectional. The winner of that game advances to the Class 2A state finals this weekend in Peoria.
