On the dais set in the Founders Lounge of the Frick Center on the campus of Elmhurst College, Annette VanAken beams a smile at her husband Troy, recently named the institution’s 14th President. On Thursday, Feb. 18, the Board of Trustees held a reception to introduce the VanAkens to the community. VanAken doesn’t officially begin his tenure until summer.
