Eero A. Turen, 72

Eero A. Turen, longtime resident of Villa Park passed away recently at the age of 72. Born in Finland and became naturalized citizen, served in United States Coast Guard, Chicago Bears Season Ticket Holder, coached Lombard youth baseball, Lombard youth football volunteer, Cub Scout leader, Lombard Evening Lions Club,St Pius X Knights of Columbus, Usher at St Pius X in Lombard, Finnish-American Society of the Midwest,Finnish Chamber of Commerce,Scandinavian Park (Vasa),former Treasurer of Villa Park Historical Society, Treasurer of National Imperial Glass Collectors Society, Fox Valley and Northern Illinois Candlewick Collectors and Imperial Enthusiasts, Enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Married 50 years to beloved wife, Patricia. Son, Eero “Terry” Turen II (Amy).Treasured granddaughter, Savannah. Mother, May (late Father, Teppo}. Sister, Rita.Niece, Christina.Many relatives in Finland. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St Pius X Knights of Columbus appreciated.
