ValborgMargretheEgeland, nee Rasmussen, of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Karsten; loving mother of Steinar, Arild, Mari (Jon) Sallstrom, Grace (Joar) Hovda, Shirley (William) Keldsen and David (Kathryn); grandmother of Daniel, Skogen, Erik, Dylan, Britta, Eva, David, Erik, Jason and Emma; great grandmother of Lincoln Hoger; sister of Manghild and Astrid. Valborg was a member of Faith Evangelical United Methodist Church of Elmhurst and a pediatric nurse in Norway where she also cared for wounded soldiers during WWII. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery.
