Eight different Warriors score TD’s

The points keep piling up for the Willowbrook football team.
The Warriors were 57-12 winners over Proviso East in a West Suburban Conference Gold Division game in Villa Park.
The win pushed Willowbrook to 7-1 overall and kept it atop the WSC Gold standings with a 5-0 record.
Quarterback John Taylor was 4 of 5 passing for 105 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, the Warriors piled up 343 rushing yards on only 28 carries, averaging 12.3 yards every time they touched the ball.
Jack Jessen ran 16 times for 160 yards and one touchdown. Chris Diaz ran four times for 129 yards and a score. Christian Washington ran three times for nine yards and had a touchdown and Taylor ran two times for 11 yards and scored a touchdown. Franshun Jordan ran two times for 26 yards.
Martique Barksdale caught a 51-yard touchdown pass, while Scott Tumilty caught a 10-yard touchdown. Sikander Zafar caught a 30-yard pass and Jacob Entwistle caught a 15-yard pass.
Willowbrook had 448 yards of total offense.
On defense, Liam Dilger and Entwistle each recorded seven tackles. Kevon Dobbins had six tackles, while Washington had five tackles. Entwistle had 3.5 tackles for loss. Washington and Nick Rushing each had three tackles for loss. Keion Coakley, Emmanuel Chavez and D’onte Gholston each had two tackles for loss. Tyler Guerrero had 1.5 tackles for loss.
As a team, Willowbrook had 19.5 tackles for loss and eight quarterback sacks. Rushing led the way with 1.5 quarterback sacks. Entwistle, Washington, Coakley, Corey Holloway and Gholston each had a sack.
Jordan had a 38-yard interception return for a touchdown, while Nick Sabatino and Sam Tumilty each had 2 pass deflections.
Gholston returned a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown.
Eight different Willowbrook players scored a touchdown in the game (Taylor, Washington, Diaz, Scott Tumilty, Jessen, Jordan, Barksdale and Gholston). Kicker Betty-Ann Garrett kicked seven extra points.
On the season, Jessen has run for 1,437 yards and 16 touchdowns, while Diaz has 502 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Taylor has run for 316 yards and four touchdowns.
Willowbrook closes out the regular season Friday at home against Downers Grove South in a WSC Gold game that will decide the conference title. If Willowbrook wins, it will earn the WSC Gold title outright. Downers South is 4-1 in conference play.
