Norma E. Linneweh nee Rice, of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 96.. Beloved wife of the late Louis H. Linneweh Sr.; mother of Louis H. (Holly) Linneweh Jr., William George (Andrea Stephania) Linneweh Sr. and Richard Allan (Michelle “Mickey”) Linneweh; grandmother of Dr. Michelle L. (Robert) Szwedo, Nanette C. (Brett) Collins, William George (Kristine) Linneweh Jr. and David Andrew (Amanda) Linneweh; great grandmother of seven; sister of the late Dorothy Sandner and Evelyn O’Leary; special friend of Penny Linneweh Scott. Norma was an avid knitter and quilter and enjoyed many other crafts but Christmas cookies were her forte. She was also the oldest living Founding Member of the First United Methodist Church of Elmhurst. Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 and at First United Methodist Church, 232 S. York St., Elmhurst from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21. Interment Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for the Church.
