Addison, Villa Park police reports

Area Police Departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Addison

Aug. 10

Rosa M. Esparza, 49, of Addison, was charged with battery in the 1-100 block of W. Lake St. at around 11:51 p.m. Police said Esparza pushed the victim on the chest with both hands.

Police said Waqqas M. Mughal, 33, of Addison, had a failure to appear warrant out of the Will County Sheriff’s Department for a traffic violation.

Aug. 9

A 38-year-old Addison woman was charged with domestic battery in the 700 block of Oak Mill Court at around 8:08 p.m. Police said the suspect pushed the victim, struck him on the face and grabbed his necklace while he was wearing it.

Aug. 8

Stephen J. Janetzke, 63, of Villa Park, was charged with aggravated DUI, driving while license revoked and an improper turn at an intersection subsequent to a traffic stop near Lake and Villa at around 2:35 p.m.

Aug. 5

Michael C. Goeringer, 55, of Elk Grove Village, was charged with DUI in the 2000 block of W. Lake St. at around 1:38 a.m. Police said officers responded to a gas station in the area to do a well-being check on Goeringer, who was asleep behind the wheel and found to be DUI.

Aug. 4

Brandon Canals, 46, of Addison, was charged with DUI and illegal transportation of open alcohol in the 500 block of W. Lake St. at around 5:04 p.m.

Gustavo Coronel, 49, of Addison, was charged with theft and criminal trespass to property at around 1:45 p.m. Police said Coronel entered upon the property of a school without permission or authority and committed a theft.

Aug. 3

A 42-year-old Glendale Heights woman was transported to the Addison Police Department for processing on an original warrant for domestic battery.

Villa Park

Aug. 5

Maucelio Garcia, 41, of Bensenville, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage and no insurance near St. Charles and Route 83 at around 8:31 p.m.

Theft was reported at a restaurant at around 1 a.m. Police said an unknown male suspect stole an iPhone 6 that was inadvertently left unattended on a table.

Aug. 4

Martique D. Barksdale, 35, of Villa Park, was charged with disorderly conduct in the 100 block of W. St. Charles at 8:48 a.m.

Jerrell L. Hale, 41, of Wheaton, was charged with violation of an order of protection in the 300 block of N. Cornell at around 9:49 p.m.

Theft was reported near North and Ellsworth at around 10:39 a.m. Police said an unknown male suspect entered a trailer parked in the area and stole a leaf blower.

Aug. 2

Michelle N. Kotch, 31, of Lake Zurich, was charged with battery in the 900 block of W. North Ave. at around 7:48 p.m. May 6. The original complaint and arrest warrant was issued on Aug. 2.

Criminal defacement was reported near Highland and Villa at around 4:45 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect defaced stop signs in the area.

Aug. 1

A 20-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 900 block of N. Harvard at around 10:23 p.m.

July 31-Aug. 1

Criminal damage was reported in the 300 block of E. Schiller. Police said that between 8 p.m. July 31 and 7:13 a.m. Aug. 1, an unknown suspect damaged the side view mirror of a vehicle parked unoccupied in the parking lot.

July 31

Jorge Jimenez, 43, of Palatine, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to the attended vehicle, failure to give aid or information at an attended accident involving vehicle damage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a traffic control device and no insurance near North and Westmore at around 8 p.m.

Amanda N. Maple, 21, of Villa Park, was charged with violation of an order of protection in the 1000 block of N. Harvard at around 10:38 p.m.

July 30

Criminal damage was reported in the 500 block of W. St. Charles between 12:01 and 12:15 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect damaged the hood of a vehicle by striking the vehicle with his hands/fists several times while it was parked unoccupied in the parking lot.

Theft was reported at a gas station at around 9:07 p.m. Police said an unknown female suspect pumped $16.64 worth of gasoline and left without paying.

Burglary was reported at a business at around 5:51 a.m. Police said that unknown suspects smashed the front window of the business and gained entry. The suspects then reportedly filled bags with cartons of cigarettes and placed them in the trunk of a vehicle and fled the scene.
