Dukes had a total of eight medalists at Trident League final.

The York summer tennis team wrapped up play in the Trident League in grand fashion.
The Dukes had four conference champions and four other flights earned conference medals.
In the Trident League there are four divisions of play with 17U and 15U components for both boys and girls.
York finished the summer with a 7-3 record and went 4-1 in Trident League play.
“It was great to get the players out competing over the summer,” said York coach Tres Heimann. “All the kids really worked hard through match play, camp and lessons. It is great to have an event like this heading into the fall season.”
In the girls 17U division, Aleksina Jovic took fifth. She won her second match 8-1 and then won the consolation semifinals by an 8-3 count over the Lombard Park District.
Lauren Fonorow won the No. 2 singles title at 17U. She defeated a girl from the Butterfield Park District by an 8-4 count in her first match. She won her semifinals over Willowbrook by an 8-0 score and then downed a girl from the Western Springs Park District by scores of 7-5 and 6-4.
At No. 3 singles in 17U, Siva Sreedhar took second. After receiving a first-round bye, she won her semifinal match 8-0 over Butterfield and then advanced to the finals against Western Springs.
In 17U girls doubles, Cristina Gamboa and Rachel Kayman took second at the No. 1 position. They won their first match 8-6 over Lombard and then won 8-1 over the Glen Ellyn Park District in the semifinals. That advanced Gamboa and Kayman to the final against Butterfield.
At No. 2 doubles, Micki Neidigh and Noelle Pedote won the conference title. They received a first-round bye and then won 8-1 in the semifinals against Butterfield. Neidigh and Pedote won 6-0, 6-0 in the title match against Glen Ellyn.
In the boys 17U division, Domenic Conversa was sixth at No. 1 singles. He won his second match by an 8-4 count over Lombard. Charlie Julian took seventh at No. 2 singles.
At No. 1 doubles in 17U, Jack Fennell and Kevin Schultz earned a medal by finishing third.
They won their first match 8-1 over Butterfield and won 8-1 in the third-place match against Lombard.
In the girls 15U division, Keira Polach earned a medal by taking second at No. 1 singles.
After receiving a first-round bye, Polach won 8-6 over Lombard and advanced to the final against Western Springs that ended up going three sets.
Reese Krauter took fifth at No. 2 singles in 15U. She won the consolation final by an 8-1 count over Glen Ellyn.
Cara Well took fourth at No. 3 singles. She won her first match over Lombard by an 8-1 count. Sasha Neidigh took fifth at No. 4 singles. She won her second match 8-3 over Butterfield and then defeated teammate Cara McGovern 8-6 in the fifth-place match.
McGovern took sixth at No. 4 singles. She won her second match 8-0 over Lombard.
In 15U doubles, Claire Converse and Clare Hewitt won the conference title at the No. 1 position.
They won their first match 9-7 over Western Springs and downed Butterfield 8-1 in the semifinals. Converse and Hewitt won 2-6, 6-4, (10-6) in the championship against Lombard.
Becca Morton and Livia Kramer were sixth at No. 2 doubles. They won their second match 8-3 over Glen Ellyn.
In boys 15U play, Vincenzo Bono was fourth at No. 1 singles. He won his first match 8-4 over Glenbard East.
Simon Krukowski and Bono won the No. 1 doubles title at 15U. They won their first match 8-0 over Lombard and won 8-1 against Willowbrook in the semifinals. Krukowski and Bono were 6-4, 6-7 (2), (10-8) winners in the final against Butterfield.
York also went 3-2 in West Suburban Conference summer league play. The Dukes also played in a conference tournament in that league.
Through the Trident finals, Simon Krukowski was 9-0, while Fonorow was 7-0. Paul Nicoli (6-1), McGovern (6-2), Bono (6-3) and Isabella Nicoli (6-4) each had six wins during the summer.
