Harvey E. Rogers, affectionately known to everyone as “Bud,” passed away July 2, 2017 at the age of 87. Bud was born in Knoxville, Tenn., and was a longtime resident of Elmhurst. Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Therese “Teri”; father of Kim Phillips, Lisa (Frank) Borta, Laurie (Ron) Nasti, Susan (Tom) Krisch, Ron (Christy) Oestreich, Buddy Rogers and Teresa Rogers; loving grandfather of 15; proud great grandfather of two and honored great great grandfather of one; brother of the late John K. (survived by Wilma) Rogers, Nancy (Bud) Helton, Beverly Monroe and Larry (Elaine) Rogers and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bud was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 80 for more than 60 years, a master woodworker, avid fisherman, motorcycle enthusiast, golfer and gardener. Funeral Mass was held Friday, July 7, 2017 at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst.
