Area Police Departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.
Addison
May 18
• A 27-year-old Chicago man was charged with domestic battery in the 1-100 block of S. Fairbank Drive at around 2:44 p.m. Police said the suspect slapped the victim on the nose and mouth and choked her.
• Police said Chloe Richart, 21, of Hampshire, was found to have a failure to appear warrant out of the Kane County Sheriff’s Department for no valid driver’s license near Lake and Michigan at around 11:43 p.m.
May 15
• Police said Jesse C. Ingram, 19 of Bensenville, had a failure to appear/failure to pay warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for possession of a controlled substance.
• Police said officers responded to the Glendale Heights Police Department to transport Marco A. Torres Jr., 30, of Itasca, for an original warrant for aggravated fleeing and various other traffic violations.
• A 41-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery in the 600 block of W. Diversey at around 7:28 p.m. Police said the suspect struck a victim on the mouth with a closed fist.
May 14
Maria I. Balmaceda, 28, of Chicago, was charged with DUI and disobeying a stop sign near Addison and Lincoln at around 4:44 a.m.
May 9
A 21-year-old Addison woman was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic battery in the 600 block of Briar Hill Lane at around 6:35 a.m. Police said the suspect shoved and kicked a victim and stabbed him on the leg with a kitchen knife.
Villa Park
May 13
• Joe Wilder, 23, of Lombard, was charged with unlawful contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile at a recreational facility at around 8:08 p.m. A male juvenile from Lombard was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of alcohol and of tobacco by a minor.
• Theft was reported at a local store. Police said that a victim believes he lost his wallet while trying on clothing in the dressing room between 2 and 4 p.m., and when he checked with management, nothing had been turned in.
May 12
• Eric M. Hofmann, 48, of Villa Park, was charged with criminal damage to property in the 500 block of E. St. Charles at around 7:40 a.m.
• Lisa M. Quintero, 43, of Bensenville, was charged with retail theft at a local store at around 1:52 p.m.
• Joanna Wyszkowska, 31, of Addison, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol and unlawful possession of alcohol near the Great Western Trail and Ardmore at around 4:33 p.m.
• Disorderly conduct was reported in the 900 block of W. North Ave. at around 9:54 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect kicked in the front door and threatened a family.
May 11
• Theodore E.L. Simmons, 37, of Plainfield, was charged with DUI, aggravated driving while license revoked and no stopping-standing-parking on a roadway.
• Criminal damage was reported in the 1-100 block of N. Harvard at around 6:15 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect struck the no-parking sign and damaged the post at the base.
May 9
• Sergio Sandoval-Muniz, 38, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, no valid driver’s license, speeding and no insurance near Ardmore and Ridge at around 11:52 p.m.
• Three male juveniles from Villa Park were charged with disorderly conduct in the 1-100 block of N. Michigan at around 3:28 p.m.
• A female juvenile from Villa Park was charged with possession of cannabis, interference with a police officer and a curfew violation in the 600 block of N. Wisconsin at around 12:35 a.m.
May 8
A 43-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of battery in the 100 block of S. Ardmore at around 1:08 a.m.
May 7
• Cristina Hernandez-Medina, 43, of Elgin, was charged with two counts of DUI, no valid driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control signal, driving on a sidewalk, driving on the wrong side of the road and no insurance near North and Vista at around 2:08 a.m.
• Cynthia A. Peck, 57, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and improper lighting near St. Charles and Illinois at around 10:08 p.m.
May 6-May 7
Criminal damage was reported in the 600 block of N. Biermann. Police said that between 6 p.m. May 6 and 9:19 a.m. May 7, a vehicle parked in a driveway appears to have been hit with BBs or pellets causing dents in the fender. An unknown suspect also spray-painted graffiti on a sign in the area.
May 4-May 8
Theft was reported in the 800 block of S. Villa. Police said that between 4:30 p.m. May 4 and 3:22 p.m. May 8, an unknown suspect stole two garbage cans from a back yard.
