Police Reports

Area Police Departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Addison

May 12

Police said Darren R. Jones Jr., 24, of North Riverside, had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for a traffic violation.

May 7

• Police said Pablo Landa-Carillo, 25, of Addison, had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for DUI.

• John A. Portillo, 19 (residence not given), was charged with criminal trespass to property in the 300 block of W. Army Trail at around 3:43 a.m. Police said Portillo remained on the property after being asked to leave.

Villa Park

May 6

Andrew W. Loucks, 27, of Lombard, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended, no insurance and a defective windshield near Addison and St. Charles at around 8:33 p.m.

May 5

Mayra Anaya, 27, of Melrose Park, was charged with possession of a fraudulent identification card near North and Ardmore at around 8:14 p.m.

May 3

• Theft was reported at a high school at around 3 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole an iPhone 6 that was left unsecured in the boys locker room after school.

• Burglary was reported in the 1-100 block of N. Michigan. Police said that between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a residence through a window and stole jewelry, shoes and video game consoles.

• Theft was reported in the south lot of the train station. Police said that between 6 p.m. May 1 and 8:15 a.m. May 3, an unknown suspect stole the front tire and damaged the seat of a bicycle secure to the bike rack.

• Two Villa Park men—one, age 61, and the other, age 42—were both charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 200 block of W. Division at 12:42 a.m.

May 2

• Dion M. Jenkins, 45, of Bellwood, was charged with battery and retail theft in the 100 block of W. Roosevelt at around 10:20 a.m. April 18. The original complaint and arrest warrant was issued May 2.

• Theft was reported at a food store at around 5:50 p.m. Police said that a female suspect stole cash inadvertently left behind by the previous customer at a self-checkout register.

May 1

• Ryan M. Schultz, 36, of Elmhurst, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident in the 400 block of S. Summit at around 10:21 p.m.

• Criminal damage to property was reported at a business in the 400 block of W. St. Charles at around 5:30 a.m. Police said unknown suspects entered a shed and broke florescent light bulbs in the parking lot of the business. The suspects also climbed on the roof of the business and damaged the vent.

April 30

• Willie M. Luciano, 34, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, driving while license suspended, two counts of improper lane usage and no insurance near North and Villa at around 1:54 a.m.

• A 42-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery, battery, assault and resisting arrest in the 500 block of W. Division at around 2:17 a.m.

April 28-May 1

Criminal damage to property was reported at a business in the 300 block of W. St. Charles. Police said that between 5 p.m. April 28 and 7 a.m. May 1, unknown suspect(s) threw a chunk of concrete at a school bus parked in the lot, shattering the rear window.

April 25-April 26

A stolen vehicle was reported in the 1-100 block of S. Villa. Police said that between 10 p.m. April 25 and 9:30 a.m. April 26, an unknown suspect stole a cell phone, cash and a vehicle while the owner was sleeping.

April 13-April 20

A stolen vehicle was reported at an auto collision center. Police said that between the above dates, an unknown suspect stole a vehicle that was parked in the lot.
