Vandals have damaged the same home in the 400 block of east May Street in Elmhurst twice in recent months. In the first incident that took place on Monday, January 31, the property was damaged when the concrete driveway of the home was spread with what appeared to be some type of motor oil.
The victim filed a police report and an Elmhurst police officer reportedly helped the homeowner clean some of the oil from the driveway.
During the week of April 24, the same home on the 400 block of east May Street was again vandalized by throwing some type of oil on the stone facade of the home. A police report was again filed to document the damage. The homeowner was unable to remove the oil stains from the building.
