In preparation for its 100th Anniversary in 2018, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry today unveiled a new logo and color palette, as approved at the April 11 Board of Directors meeting.
The new logo features a multi-colored leaf from an Elm tree to the right of the organization’s name in two lines, with the top-line words of Elmhurst Chamber in larger and bolder black font. The six Elm leaf colors replicate its changing look during the seasons of one year.
For 2018, a “Centennial Celebration / 1918 – 2018” tagline will run under the Chamber’s name in green, with the words in italic and the dates in bold.
“Our logo redesign is but the first step completed towards celebrating 100 years as the leader of Elmhurst’s business community,” stated John R. Quigley, Chamber President and CEO since 1999 and active in the organization since 1991, “and preparing for the next 100 years to come.”
For more than a quarter of a century—dating back to Quigley’s predecessor, the late A.J. “Toche” Terrones—ECCI’s logo featured a green Elm leaf outline with the organization’s name in all capital blue letters stacked over four lines in a right-side cutout.
About the design company…
Korzenowski Design, a family-owned and operated Chamber member since 1999, submitted the winning proposal for the logo redesign and completed the project in six weeks.
“We were honored to be selected to redesign the Chamber’s logo, in celebration of their centennial year, and bring the marketing committee’s vision to life,” stated Gigi Korzenowski, owner and president of Korzenowski Design. “The vibrant new logo is an expression of the dynamic range of the Chamber’s work on behalf of local businesses and the community at large—for the past 100 years and into the future.”
The Chamber’s Marketing Committee, chaired by First Vice Chair Ken Bartels of Community Bank of Elmhurst, played an instrumental role in the new logo’s development.
