Timothy Christian boys track coach John VanderKamp saw many positives at the recent Metro Suburban Conference indoor meet.
VanderKamp was pleased with the performances in particular from Chris Brooks (7.3 in the 55 dash), Isaiah Whitaker (25.9 in the 200), Andrew Vogt (58.2 in the 400), Tommy Troxel (2:14 in the 800), Will Terpstra (5:15 in the 1,600), Clint Fincher (11:22 in the 3,200) and Xavier Ross (41-11 in the triple jump and 20-6 in the long jump).
“We have excellent senior leadership and we have a lot of young athletes with good potential,” said VanderKamp.
Timothy heads to the Houseward Invitational in Hudsonville, Mich., on April 15. That meet features 15 teams.
