Area Police Departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.
Addison
Feb. 8
Police said Jennifer G. Hernandez, 19, of Addison, had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for battery.
Devante D. Williams, 24, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at a store in the 1000 block of N. Rohlwing Road at around 3:39 p.m. Police said as an employee of the store, Williams took returned merchandise from a customer and placed the credit on a gift card which he kept for himself, then returned the customer’s merchandise a second time and refunded the money back to them.
Feb. 7
Ruben Villalobos-Garcia, 44, of Addison, was charged with DUI in the 1-100 block of School Street at 12:34 p.m.
Feb. 6
Police said a 22-year-old Addison man had an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for criminal trespass to real property, and two failure-to-appear warrants out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for violation of a domestic violence bail bond and resisting a police officer.
Feb. 5
Egle Adamonyte, 34, and Kevin C. Kenny, 35, both of Westmont, were arrested at an entertainment center in the 1100 block of N. Swift Road at around 9:29 p.m. Adamonyte was charged with assault and resisting a police officer. Kenny was charged with battery, resisting a police officer, criminal trespass to property and unlawful possession of cannabis.
Joseph M. Gambino, 57, of Addison, was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and no insurance in the 19W000 block of Army Trail Blvd. at around 12:23 a.m.
Police said Angel Hernandez, 21, of Schaumburg, had three outstanding failure to appear warrants—one out of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department for larceny, and two out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for burglary, resisting/obstructing and no gang contact.
Feb. 3
Police said a 39-year-old Addison man had an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for domestic battery an obstructing a police officer.
A 25-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery in the 800 block of Heritage Drive at 8:42 p.m. Police said the suspect pushed a victim into a wall, twisted her arm and took her cell phone and iPad away from her.
Villa Park
Feb. 4
A stolen vehicle was reported at a convenience store in the 600 block of N. Addison, at around 10:08 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a vehicle that was left in the parking lot unsecured and keys in the ignition with the engine running. The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied in an area near Lincoln and Mertle.
Battery was reported at an establishment at around 1:40 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect struck a bar patron with a beer bottle, causing injury. The suspect then left the scene.
Feb. 3
A male juvenile from Villa Park was charged with possession of cannabis at a high school at around 8:30 p.m.
A male juvenile from Villa Park was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, four counts of battery, criminal trespass to a vehicle and driving while license suspended in the 300 block of N. Princeton at around 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 2
Kenneth H. Flowers, 41, of Villa Park, was charged with two counts of battery in the 200 block of E. Pine at around 4:11 p.m.
Brynne M. Perry, 24, of Aurora, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and disobeying a stop sign near Addison and Sunset at around 1:01 a.m.
Theft was reported at a restaurant at around 7:45 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole an iPhone that was inadvertently left unattended.
A female juvenile from Lombard was charged with possession of cannabis at a high school at around 10:34 a.m.
Feb. 1
Theft was reported at a store. Police said that between 2 and 2:30 p.m. an unknown suspect stole a silver iPhone 6S that was placed in the child seating portion of a shopping cart.
Criminal damage was reported at Motel 6 at around 11:51 a.m. Police said that an unknown suspect damaged a television in one of the rooms.
A 46-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of domestic battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence.
Jan. 31-Feb. 1
Damage to property was reported in the 200 block of E. Hill. Police said that between 2 p.m. Jan. 31 and 7 a.m. Feb. 1, an unknown suspect pulled the rubber window molding from between the window and frame of the window.
Jan. 31
A stolen vehicle was reported at a pizza restaurant at around 8:16 p.m. Police said that an unknown suspect stole a vehicle that was left in the parking lot unsecured with the keys in the vehicle while the owner ran in to pick up their order.
Jan. 29
Kenney L. Stewart Jr., 18, of Glendale Heights, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct near Plymouth and Third at around 2:28 p.m. Tyler J.R. Boyd, 18, of Glendale Heights, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Kahli C. Safo, 20, of Glendale Heights, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct.
Coleman J. Lydon, 26, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage near School and Wisconsin at around 2:28 a.m.
Theft was reported in the 1600 block of S. Michigan. Police said that between 10:38 and 11:38 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a blue backpack that was thrown into a hallway.
Jan. 27
Retail theft was reported at a store at around 5:35 p.m. Police said unknown suspects removed items from the display shelves and left the store without paying for the items.
