Lombard police report–October 17

INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES

The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.

Assault, battery

Oct. 6

Tyjuan Williams, 18, of Chicago, was charged with battery and obstructing near Westmore-Meyers and Roosevelt at 5:20 p.m.

Oct. 2

Jhoan Vazquez Jimenez, 31, of Aurora, was charged with battery at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, at 1:40 a.m.

Criminal damage, trespassing

Oct. 6

A complainant in the 2100 block of S. Finley advised that the tires on her vehicle had been slashed.

Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance

Oct. 6

A 19-year-old Glendale Heights man was charged with domestic battery in the 1300 block of S. Finley at 8:12 p.m.

Oct. 1

A complainant in the 100 block of W. Ann said her juvenile daughter got off the bus and was yelled at by a subject who is the mother of the juvenile’s classmate. All parties were advised to avoid contact with each other.

DUI, transportation of open alcohol

Oct. 6

Scott Stratton, 50, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, open alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and no insurance in the 100 block of E. Roosevelt at 2:41 a.m.

Oct. 5

Taylor Gray, 31 of Bellwood, was charged with DUI, driving while registration that had been canceled, suspended or revoked, improper lane usage, transportation or possession of open alcohol by the driver and driving with expired license plates near Westmore-Meyers and Roosevelt at 1:33 a.m.

Kyle Williams, 20, of Melrose Park, was charged with DUI and possession of cannabis near Roosevelt and I-355 at 11:55 p.m.

Oct. 1

Robert Vaughn, 54, of Lombard, was charged with DUI near E. 22nd at S. Highland at 7:57 p.m.

Harassment, threats

Oct. 4

A complainant in the 500 block of E. North Broadway advised at 10:15 p.m. that a subject sent harassing text messages after a crash that occurred between the subject’s daughter’s vehicle and his vehicle.

Oct. 1

A victim in the 2200 block of S. Grace told police at 11:01 a.m. they received harassing texts from a neighbor.

A student at Glenbard East High school, 1014 S. Main, was reportedly bullied by another student.

A victim in the 900 block of S. Lombard reported at 8:30 p.m. that he received a message on Instagram stating he needed to pay money or pictures of him would be sent to his contacts.

Identity theft, fraud

According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported 10 incidents of identity theft or fraud in the village between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6.

Possession of cannabis

Oct. 1

Mason Matesevic, 28, of Plainfield, was issued citations for possession of cannabis and speeding near E. Highridge and S. Westmore-Meyers at 1:43 a.m.

Suspicious incident

Oct. 4

A complainant near Route 53 and I-355 advised of juveniles throwing rocks onto I-355. An officer checked the area with no results.

Oct. 3

A complainant in the 100 block of Bracken Court reported on three occasions an unknown subject described as a black male would stop and stare at his residence. An officer advised the complainant to call 911 if the subject returned.

Oct. 1

A male student at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main, reportedly placed a fishhook on a female student.

Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery

Oct. 5

A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth advised an unknown subject may have taken his Amazon packages.

A complainant in the 300 block of E. Prairie advised at 9:58 a.m. that he and another neighbor had their Harris/Walz signs removed from their yards.

A complainant in the 300 block of E. Prairie advised at 10:22 a.m. that their Harris/Walz sign had been removed from their yard.

A complainant in the 200 block of N. Lombard advised at 3:27 p.m. that her Kamala Harris signs were removed from her yard.

A complainant in the 200 block of S. Stewart advised an unknown suspect damaged and stole some of her Halloween decorations.

Oct. 4

A complainant at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, advised of jewelry that was stolen from hotel room.

A victim in the 100 block of N. Rohlwing believes his landlord stole his laptop.

A complainant at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main, advised at 10:15 p.m. that unknown subjects took her unlocked scooter.

Oct. 3

A victim in the 200 block of S. Brewster advised of losing his credit card at a Thorntons gas station. The victim advised that his credit card was subsequently used multiple times in different states.

A victim in the 100 block of E. Grove reported that a subject took her packages that were delivered for her. The subject gave the victim one of the packages, but advised she did not have the package with a smartwatch in it.

Oct. 2

An employee at 7-Eleven, 246 S. Westmore-Meyers, advised at 10:16 p.m. that a male subject, between 18 and 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a skinny build, a brown complexion and a unibrow, wearing dark clothing, a black face mask and a black glove on his right hand, displayed a silver gun and demanded JUULs and cash. The subject fled on foot after the robbery.

Oct. 1

A complainant in the 1100 block of S. Finley advised the calendar from her kitchen and tax returns and other paperwork were missing from her home. The complainant believes a custodian may have taken them.

Retail theft

The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6: Target, 60 Yorktown, at 6:10 p.m. Oct. 2; Discount Tire, 1060 E. Roosevelt, at 11:42 a.m. Oct. 3; Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 2:44 p.m. Oct. 3; and Target, 60 Yorktown, at 8:51 p.m. Oct. 5.

Oct. 2

Antonio Acevedo, 38, of Bolingbrook, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 12:38 p.m.
Dawn Tully, 53, of Addison, was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 3:37 p.m.

Sept. 30

Nicholas R. Dillon, 18, of Lombard, was issued a citation for retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 8:49 p.m.
Michaele J. Doherty, 53, of La Grange Park, was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 3:23 p.m.

Sept. 29

Daniel Enrique Moreno-Varela, 18, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 5:40 p.m.

Sept. 27

Courtney Manesh, 36, of West Lafayette, Indiana, was issued a local ordinance citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 4:06 p.m.

Sept. 25

Tia Starcevic, 49, of Calumet City; Amanda Wilkin, 29, of Gary, Indiana, and a juvenile were charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 23

Mehkusina Saad Chaudhry, 29, of Downers Grove, was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 5:55 p.m.
Gary Zimmerman, 65, of Oakbrook Terrace, was issued a notice to appear citation at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 4:25 p.m.

Warrant arrest

Oct. 3

Police said Ahmad Trimuel, 28, of Glendale Heights, was wanted out of DuPage County for a failure to appear warrant in the 700 block of E. Butterfield at 8:55 a.m.

Sept. 25

Police said Priscilla Putterlick, 39, and Jason Puterlik, 44, both of Lyons, were involved in a verbal altercation with other restaurant patrons at Benihana, 747 E. Butterfield, at 9:43 p.m. Puterlik had a warrant out of Cook County; he was transported to the Lombard Police Department, processed and released on bond. Putterlick was charged with aggravated battery and resisting arrest.

Sept. 23

Police said Deborah Boc, 52, of Villa Park, was transported to the DuPage County Jail for an outstanding failure to appear warrant near S. Main and E. Parkside at 2:15 p.m. Boc also received citations for driving while license revoked, no insurance, expired registration and two counts of a child restraint violation.

Joel M. Villegas, 53, of Lombard, was processed on a warrant in the 700 block of E. South Broadway at 8:39 p.m. and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
