The Lombard Junior Women’s Club (LJWC) announced the members of the 2023 Lilac Court on Sunday, March 5. Pictured left to right are: Princess Maggie LeBeau, Princess Mackenzie Huber, Princess Claire Flanagan, Princess Kianna Becker and Princess Lia DiPasquale. LeBeau, Flanagan and DiPasquale are juniors at Glenbard East High School. Huber is a senior at Glenbard East. Becker, who graduated from Willowbrook High School, is a graduate student at the University of Illinois Springfield. The LJWC held its annual Lilac Princess Program Preliminary Judging earlier on March 5. A panel of unbiased judges who neither live nor work in Lombard selected the members of 2023 Lilac Court from a field of 14 contestants. The five princesses went to the LJWC’s clubhouse in Eastgate Shopping Center that evening for their orientation. Each princess will receive a $1,500 scholarship. The scholarships are funded in part by the Village of Lombard Local Tourism Grant Program. One of the five princesses will be crowned the 2023 Lilac Queen during the coronation ceremony in Lilacia Park on Saturday, May 6.
