On Dec. 13, the Villa Park Lions Club delivered books, toys and stocking stuffers to York Township Hall. The club collected the items for the York Township Food Pantry’s “Adopt a Family for Christmas” program. The donations were distributed as gifts to pantry client families with children. The Lions Club’s Sean Birmingham (left), who is the Villa Park Public Library’s head of public services, is pictured with York Township Supervisor John W. Valle (right). “York Township is grateful for the ongoing support of the Villa Park Lions Club,” said Valle. “The Lions are known for their big hearts. Their generous donation will put smiles on the faces of a lot of children again this holiday season.”
