Even before the Thanksgiving turkeys were being thawed, Yorktown Center was already in the holiday spirit with its giant Christmas tree display and a special visitor: Santa Claus, the jolly old elf himself. Santa will be waiting to hear from the children now through Dec. 24 Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (break from 3-4 p.m.), Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (break from 3-3:30 p.m.) and Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (break from 1-1:45 p.m.). Photo packages will be available for purchase. On Dec. 3, Santa’s Pajama Jam is back from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with holiday crafts, DIY reindeer food, storytime with Mrs. Claus, a meet and greet with your child’s favorite snowy princesses, the world’s tallest elf and giveaways and raffles, located on the Lower Level near Marshalls/HomeGoods. On Dec. 4, Santa Cares welcomes people of all ages and abilities to visit from 8:30-10:30 a.m. prior to stores opening; center music will be off and guest traffic is expected to be minimal.
