The Max family home was in Lombard and Doug attended Glenbard East High School where he developed lifelong friendships. He also attended Southern Illinois University. Doug was very proud of his 43 years of sobriety and was always there for others who needed help with their addiction. After he and Donna were married, almost 30 years ago, Glen Ellyn eventually became their new hometown. Upon retirement from the USPS, Doug and Donna built a log home in South Bend, Indiana, which allowed them to spend more time with their son’s family and to do what grandparents do best…enjoy and spoil their grandchildren!
May fond memories of Doug help to ease the pain of his loss. A tree will be dedicated in Doug’s memory at The Morton Arboretum.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Doug’s Life on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1–4 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, IL. 630-668-0016.
