Jerry Foley, of Elmhurst, formerly of Louisville, and Lemont, Ill., passed away April 23, 2022, at the age of 80. Jerry worked at AT&T for 30 years before retiring and starting his second “career” as a craps dealer. He was an avid golfer and loved to golf with his son and his friends. Jerry loved playing cards and eating ice cream and enjoyed sharing these pastimes with his granddaughter. He also loved working out to burn off the ice cream and had even run the Chicago Marathon in his earlier years. Jerry had a great, unique sense of humor and was the source of so much joy to everyone who met him. If he gave you a nickname, you knew you were special. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Foley (2010); loving father of Shane (Amanda) Foley; loving and proud Papa of Sloane and Ryan; and cherished uncle to several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 28 in the Fireside Room of Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York Street, Elmhurst.
