PAUL GEORGE BUNYON
Paul George Bunyon, 79, transitioned March 25, 2022.
Settled in Addison in 1969. Big Paul was born as George Mullis in Monroe, North Carolina. Legally changed his name after he retired as a professional basketball player, playing for the Washington Generals, the opposition of the Harlem Globetrotters. He was also a sparring partner for Muhammad Ali.
He was one of ten children; his parents are Chonce and Ercel Mullis. His siblings: Roy, Lela, James, Chonce Jr., Edith, Buren, Hazelene, Hubert and Wayne. His four sons: Kevin, William, Timothy and Wayne (Teresa). Grandchildren: Thaddeus, Christina, Selena Ann, Christian, Charlese, Cameron, Gia. Great-grandchildren: Matic, Carmelo and Noah.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. and the service is from 8-9 p.m. at Hursen Funeral Home, 4001 Roosevelt Road, Hillside. 708-547-8200.

WAYNE HAMILTON
Wayne Hamilton, longtime Lombard resident, passed away March 25, 2022, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Wilma (née Johnson); dear father of Terry (the late Patrick) McCombs, Gregory, Carol (Dave) Brown, Russell (Madeline). Loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Otis and Nora; brothers Dale, Thomas, Alan; and a sister Patricia. Survived by a sister Sandra.
Wayne was a long time member of Grace Community Church (formerly Grace Baptist Church) in Lombard. A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
