The five members of Lombard’s 2022 Lilac Court received their tiaras during a ceremony at the Maple Street Chapel on March 14. Pictured left to right at the service are: Princess Felicity Abbott, Princess Kayla Hickman, Princess Katy Nairn, Princess Allison O’Callaghan and Princess Caitlyn Oliva. The Lombard Junior Women’s Club (LJWC) presented a tiara to each princess, along with a sash and flowers. The Lombard Service League provides the tiaras to the Lilac Court each year. The LJWC conducts the annual Lilac Princess Program, which dates back to 1930. Each of this year’s princesses briefly wore the original 1930 Lilac Queen crown during the recent event. One of the five princesses will be crowned the 2022 Lilac Queen at the coronation ceremony in Lilacia Park on Sunday, May 1.
