Willowbrook High School’s dance team performed at the IHSA competitive dance state meet, which took place Jan. 28-29 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington. Competing against 29 other teams in the state meet’s 2A level, Willowbrook earned a 10th-place score of 84.0 for its routine during the preliminaries on Friday, Jan. 28. The top 12 teams from the preliminaries advanced to the finals on Saturday, Jan. 29. Willowbrook’s performance in the finals received a score of 85.98, good for ninth place in the 2A level. The Willowbrook team qualified for the state meet with its solid performance at the Geneva Sectional on Jan. 22. Members of the team are pictured during the sectional routine.
