Robert Mucha, 87, passed away quietly on January 26, 2022. He was born on June 9, 1934 to John and Genevieve (Kozlowski) Mucha in Wausau, Wisconsin. He was a 1955 graduate of Wausau High School where he met and married Annalee Lerch on March 24, 1955. They have been married for 66 years. He was a Private 2nd class in the Army before making the move to Chicago to begin work at NCR, where he stayed for more than 30 years before retiring.
Bob’s hobbies included watching football (even coaching a PopWarner team), golf, woodworking, and computers. He is survived by his wife, Ann, their daughters, Debra Moreno of Austin, Pat Salvatini (Jonathan), and Karen Lee (Perry Bobulski). Grandchildren Tracy Pingel (Scott), Gabriel Moreno, Katie Wunderlich (Michael), Jaclyn Salvatini, Perry Bobulski Jr. (Elizabeth) and Nicholas Salvatini. Great grandchildren Austin Scott, Madeline Wunderlich and Milton Wunderlich. He is also survived by siblings, Marcella Mogel, Phyllis Kaczmarski, Jan Glennon, and Yvonne Hutchens.
A memorial wake will be held at Gibbons Funeral Home, Elmhurst, Illinois, on February 9th from 4:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Residential Hospice Foundation.
