RICHARD L. BATOR
Richard L. Bator, age 90, of Lombard, died October 27, 2021, at his home.
Richard was the beloved husband of 70 years of Dorothy, nee Fairweather; loving father of Gary S. Bator of Maryland, and Gregory A. (Tami) Bator of Lombard, the late Kenneth J. Bator and the late Kathleen Knight; fond grandpa of Josiah (Liza) Knight of South Dakota, Joy (Chris) Bennett of South Dakota, Cori D. (Tonie) Bator of Carol Stream and Gregory D. Bator of Ottawa, the late Alicia Bator and the late Amy Knight; step-grandfather to Jeremy Marynowski of St. Charles; and numerous great-grandchildren He was the dear brother of Loretta Mauzer of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters, and two grandchildren.
Richard was a Korean War veteran. He and Dorothy were married at St. Anthony Chicago, and he was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 65 years. He was a retired printer who worked for various printing companies and was a member of the Printer’s Union 405. He was an avid golfer. Richard was a member of the L.O.O.M. Lodge #2350 in Lombard. He was an avid golfer, and he worked part-time at Medinah Country Club after retirement.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, November 2, at the Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment followed at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard’s name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S. Elizabeth Street, Lombard, IL 60148 would be appreciated.

TIMOTHY A. BARTELS
Timothy A. Bartels, age 62, of Glen Ellyn, passed away on Oct. 25, 2021, at Lutheran General Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 1, at Brust Funeral Home 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL.

MARGARETE M. BOYLE
Margarete M. Boyle, nee Kindl, died October 24, 2021, at Elmhurst Hospital.
Margarete was the wife of 57 years of the late James P.; daughter of the late Hubert and Elizabeth (nee Batccha) Kindl; sister of Hubert Kindle and Georg Kindl, both of Germany and sister of the late Marianne Kindl.
Margarete was born in Germany and had been a resident of Lombard for 60 years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Margarete was a former member of the Elmhurst Damenchor and of the Lombard Woman’s Club.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 28, at St. Pius X Church, 1025 E. Madison St., Lombard. Interment followed at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.

George H. Nason, age 86, of Sandwich, formerly of Lombard, died on Oct. 28, 2021.

Larry J. Sassi, age 100 of Lombard. Beloved husband of the late Esther Sassi, nee Lucca; loving father of Ron (Ruth) Sassi, Robert Sassi, William (Louisa) Sassi; grandfather of Christopher Sassi, Robert Sassi, and Cristina (Jay) Prince, Frank Sassi, and the late Michael Sassi; great-grandfather of Mattaie, Hayden, Sage, Maddox, and Harleigh; preceded in death by siblings Joseph, Fred and Lollie; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
