Nancy Akiko Kurotsuchi, nee Ishikawa, died October 16, 2021, at the age of 90. She was a longtime resident of the Oaks at Bartlett and former longtime resident of Elmhurst. Nancy was the beloved wife of Roy Kurotsuchi; loving mother of Susan, James and Karen (Daniel) Inkelas; proud grandmother of Sonya Inkelas; cherished daughter of the late Rev. Kiyoshi and Tomoye Ishikawa; dear sister of the late Isamu “Samuel” Ishikawa.
Nancy was a member of the League of Women Voters. She loved travelling the world, attending the theater, and enjoyed all breeds of dogs. She was an elementary school teacher in Decatur and Chicago. Nancy served as a volunteer tutor in Bensenville.
Visitation Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) in Bartlett. Funeral private. Inurnment Montrose Cemetery.
