Traffic stop yields loaded firearm
On April 8, Francisco J. Rodriguez-Fernandez, 25, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of weapon, possession of cannabis by the driver, speeding and no insurance subsequent to a traffic stop near York and North at around 4:52 a.m. Police said the suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and had cannabis in a vehicle.
Two incidents of sexual assault reported
On April 10, a reporting officer met with the victim who reported the suspect had inappropriately grabbed her in the 100 block of N. Addison at around 7:47 p.m.
Then on April 11, another victim in the 400 block of E. Schiller advised at 3:17 p.m. that she had been sexually assaulted by a suspect while at the above location. Both cases are pending investigation.
Home damage may have been done by BB gun
On April 11, police said officers responded to the 600 block of Linden at around 12:52 a.m. for the report of a suspicious incident. The complainant stated she heard what sounded like someone trying to open the front storm door and subsequently heard several loud bangs at her front window. Officers discovered damage to the front window, which appeared to have been caused by a BB gun. The victim reviewed security footage which shows an older model gray or silver sedan drive northbound with its lights off. This case is pending investigation.
