As of 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, there were 63,194 total cases among DuPage County residents, including 1,024 deaths. Since Saturday, there were 207 new cases and four deaths related to COVID-19.

At press time, the DuPage Department of Health reported the following number of COVID-19 cases in our readership communities as follows: Addison 3,944, Bensenville 1,899, Elmhurst 3,279, Lombard 3,266, Oakbrook Terrace 197, Villa Park 1,960, Wood Dale 1,266.
And now for the good news …
Elmhurst Hospital reports that 74 inpatients with confirmed cases of COVID-19 were discharged as of Tuesday, Dec. 22. Since March 24, a total of 1,277 patients have been discharged.
So far, about 60% of Edward-Elmhurst Health’s 8,800 employees have been vaccinated.
