Debra “Debbie” R. Stone passed away at home on January 1, 2021 at the age of 66. She was born in Chicago to the late Richard and Lucy Russell on March 29, 1954. Debbie held various positions in the business world before finding a calling as a teacher’s aide working with the special needs students of York High School. She loved to entertain family and friends at her home, making every get together feel special and everyone feel warm and welcomed. She was a Bunco enthusiast and started a group anywhere she lived. She was a lover of dogs, especially Signe and Remy, enjoyed needlepoint, and tending to all of the wild birds in the neighborhood, keeping them well fed. She was a lover of the little things. She always had a new trinket or decoration to display, a song she played on repeat, or a story to share with you.
Beloved wife of 29 years to Kent Stone, Debbie was the love of his life. She was his heart and soul, moral compass and forever dance partner. Debbie was the loving mother of Emily (Dan) Pesta, Will (Louise) Klotz, Paul (Keri) Klotz and Tyler (Valerie Spychala) Stone and cherished grandmother of Carter, Harper, Lindsay, Lucy and Lily. Debbie was a tireless supporter of whatever the children chose to pursue. Debbie was the lead cheerleader whether it be soccer, baseball, swimming, or water polo and helped support all of their activities. She loved watching her family grow and spending time with her grandchildren, especially singing and having dance parties with them.
