As of 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, there were 13,012 total cases among DuPage County residents, including 525 deaths. Since Saturday, there were 132 new cases and one death of a female in her 90s, related to COVID-19.

At press time, the DuPage Department of Health reported the following number of COVID-19 cases in our readership communities as follows: Addison 1,000, Bensenville 630, Elmhurst 584, Lombard 630, Oakbrook Terrace 39, Villa Park 381, Wood Dale 281.
And now for the good news…
Since March 24, 491 patients have been discharged from Elmhurst Hospital following treatment for confirmed cases of COVID-19.
