Private Interment will be Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

ELAINE PALOUMPIS
Elaine Paloumpis nee Stamos, age 86, of Lombard, passed away August 4, 2020.
Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Andreas; loving mother of three sons, Nick, Curt (Donna Kase), Dean Paloumpis and daughter Christine (the late Keith) Berland; proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 4; daughter of the late Evon and the late Mae; dear sister of George (Helen) Stamos, the late Dean (the late Francine) Stamos, and the late Sandra (the late Sam) Geannopulos; beloved aunt and friend to many.
Elaine was defined by her profound faith and her love of family and friends. Nothing made Elaine happier than entertaining the ones she loved in her home. As a professionally trained singer, Elaine’s lovely soprano voice could be heard as she sang with St. Demetrios and Holy Apostles Church choir for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the Holy Apostles Philoptochos Society.
Elaine worked for Carson Pirie Scott & Co. in the Yorktown Mall for 30 years as the Manager of the Furniture, Lamp, and Carpeting Departments. Upon her retirement, Elaine volunteered at Elmhurst Hospital for over 15 years.
A Private Family Service was held Friday, August 7, at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
