Frances M. Quebbemann passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2020 at the age of 89. Frances was a long time resident of Elmhurst since May 1962. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Quebbemann for more than 42 years; loving mother of Anthony (Julie) Quebbemann, Mary Quebbemann, David (Denise) Quebbemann, and Carolyn Carrillo; cherished grandmother of Christine, Andrew, Gregory, Michael, Amanda, and Joseph; devoted sister of Anthony Wolnik. fond daughter of the late Anton and Theresa (Nee Zajkowski) Wolnik.
Frances had a servant’s heart, which was evidenced throughout her life. She particularly enjoyed singing, dancing, especially polkas, and children. She was a member of the choir at St. Stanislaus Church, a dance instructor at the Aragon Ballroom, and her love of children led to the creation of the youth focused nonprofit Readers Ignite. Frances volunteered many years at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and as Eucharistic Minister at Visitation Catholic Church.
She will be dearly missed, and yet we are comforted knowing that she is now really living, enjoying the unfathomable love of God, and seeing family and friends who already dwell in Heaven.
Funeral Mass was held on July 18, 2020 at Visitation Church, 779 So. York, Elmhurst. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
