Alleged sexual assault reported on north York
On June 26, a reporting officer responded to the 800 block of N. York at around 9:15 a.m. for a report of a sexual assault. The victim stated the suspect sexually assaulted her. The suspect was later located, placed under arrest and transported to the police station. The suspect was released pending charges.
Woman arrested after victim alleges he was hit with bottle
On June 29, a 47-year-old Elmhurst woman was charged with domestic battery, assault and resisting a police officer in the 300 block of W. Grantley at around 9:49 p.m. A complainant told police that following a verbal argument, the suspect threw a beer bottle at him, which struck him in the head. Officers observed a broken beer bottle in the area where the argument took place.
Victim tells police he was struck by machete
On June 25, a reporting officer met with a victim in the 600 block of W. North at around 7: 47 p.m. The victim stated he was involved in an argument with the suspect. The victim further stated the suspect struck him with the end of a machete. The victim showed no signs of injury and no complaints were signed.
Suspect threatens to ‘straighten him out,’ victim alleges
On June 30, a victim in the 900 block of N. York told police at around 6:30 p.m. that an unknown suspect called him, told him to stop using a racist word, and stated he could go over and “straighten him out.” The victim stated the suspect sounded intoxicated and may have had the wrong number. He did not wish to sign complaints.
