Ruth McDermott, formerly of Elmhurst, passed away on May 18, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late James McDermott, Sr. (1996); loved mother of Colleen (Ken) Kolar, the late James McDermott, Jr. (1993), Mary Kenny, Maureen (Ken) Zars, Terese (Hank) Altosino, Denise (Tim) McMahan and Kathleen (Steve) Pelz; grandmother of 29; great-grandmother of 32; sister of the late Ronald (Jackie) Reidl and Roy Reidl. A private family service and interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery will be held. A public Memorial Mass will be held at a future date at Visitation Catholic Church.
