Keeping a safe social distance, this enthusiastic person came out to take part in the Pomp Under Any Circumstance Community Cheer Countdown at York High School on Sunday, May 17, the original date of graduation for the class of 2020. As the York fight song played over the loudspeakers at the stadium, the community was invited to come out on their lawns to celebrate the Class of 2020. The final act of commemoration was the lighting of the York High School Football Stadium lights, which were to remain on until 8:20 p.m. or 20:20 in military time.
The stadium scoreboard at Clarence East Field at York High School was completely emblazoned with 2020 on Sunday, May 17 on what was to have been graduation day for this year’s York seniors. It was part of the Pomp Under Any Circumstance celebration.
