Lee Erber, a life-long resident of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully in hospice care at Elmhurst Hospital on May 8, 2020, after a year battling lung cancer. He was 67. Lee was born in Elmhurst on November 16, 1952 to Bud & Margaret Erber. Lee is survived by his daughter Shaye, a brother Jim (Tomoko), a sister Sue Whitworth; by his nieces Erin (Matt) Halden and Sara (Krista) Szubert and by his nephews Allen (Lisa) Erber, and Derek Erber. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his brother Tim, and by his grandparents Edward & Edna Erber and Allen Richard and Margaret Hodapp. A 1972 graduate of York Community High School, Lee lived most of his life in Elmhurst and was a retired truck driver. He was a fan of the blues, western movies, the mountains, football, and a good pizza. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network, 125 W.
