The Garden Club of Villa Park held its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 2. One year ago, the club held its sale outside of the Villa Park Historical Museum, near the Illinois Prairie Path. The club intended to hold this year’s sale at the same location, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 event offered only online orders. Some customers chose to have their orders delivered, while others stopped by the home of club president Heather Mayer for contact-free curbside pickup. Pictured (left to right) are longtime club member Diane Kohler-Rausch and Mayer during a curbside pickup. Kohler-Rausch’s purchases included geraniums, basil plants, tomato plants and cucumber plants, as well as Greek oregano and chocolate mint plants.
