Dozens of Glenbard East students took part in the recent Valentines for Vets event in the school cafeteria. Students visited the cafeteria after school to create Valentine’s Day cards and messages that will be sent to hospitalized veterans, as well as active members of the United States Armed Forces. The cards are being sent through the District 87 office. Students from all four District 87 schools are sending Valentine’s Day cards to veterans and current members of the military. The Glenbard East students who participated in the Feb. 5 event (pictured left to right) included seniors Laura De La Torre, Lahela McClenahan, Aldo Mitri, Marina Dragovich, Ashley Ziemer and Hannah Krause.
