Thor “Lefty” Lofgren, age 93, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Lombard, passed away August 2, 2019.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 12, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
Thor “Lefty” was the loving husband, from 1948-2018, of the late Joyce. He is survived by his loving children, Richard “Dick” (Patti) of DeKalb, Tom (Jeanine) of Wheaton, Tim and Kay of St. Charles; his dear grandchildren, Brad (Kelly) of Oswego, Tracy (Brian) Krzysiak of Montgomery, Derek of Chicago, Kelly (Greg) Nordlund of Wheaton, Kaitlyn of DeKalb, Alexis of St. Charles, MacKenzie of St. Charles, and Cole of St. Charles; fond great-grandfather of Hailey, Brenden, Sophia and Addison; and his dear brother-in-law, Donn, of Idaho. He was the dear brother of the late Clairey, the late Bob (Shirley) of Florida, Marian of Florida and the late Fred.
Thor “Lefty” lived in Glen Ellyn for the past 30 years, and had lived in Lombard for 20 years before that. He was a graduate of Leyden High School.
Thor “Lefty” was a Veteran of WWII. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Olympus. He was the owner of LS Electric from 1955-2009.

APRIL ANN LOVE
April Ann Love, age 52, passed away July 26, 2019.
She was the beloved daughter of LeRoy and Alaura Love. She was born in Ottawa, Illinois, on May 23, 1967. She is survived by her parents; three children, Michael Varzino, Jordan (Greg) Antor and Madison Peck; and one brother, Ken (Sue) Love.
She graduated from Willowbrook High School, Villa Park. She worked several jobs, most recently at a 7-11 store on Westmore in Lombard for the past 6 years. Interment private. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
WANDA SZEFER
Wanda Szefer, nee Mroczkowski, age 100, of Lombard, died Aug. 2 at The Grove of Elmhurst.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 8, with a Visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of prayers at 10 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. Lombard. Following prayers, there will be a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Divine Mercy Polish Mission, 21W411 Sunset, Lombard. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

DAVID JAMES WELLEHAN
David James Wellehan, age 76, of Sevierville, Tennessee, formerly of Lombard, died July 30 at his home.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, Aug. 3, from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard for Mass.
Interment was at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Wellehan is survived by his loving wife, Patricia L., nee Treadway; his daughter, Tracy Janos of California; his son, David Joseph (Marsha Helland) Wellehan of Yorkville; three grandchildren, Laniney, Joshua, and Jax; his sister, Eileen Fugelseth of Round Lake; and many other relatives.
Mr. Wellehan is preceded in death by his stepson, Keith Sherrill of Chicago; and his parents, David and Helen Wellehan of Lombard.
Mr. Wellehan was formerly of Lombard and had served as the Village of Lombard Treasurer during the 1980s.
Mr. Wellehan was a Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Wellehan had retired 10 years ago from Professional Business Consultants. He had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Lombard and also had served on the YMCA Board. He was a resident of Lombard for 50 years before moving to Tennessee in 2014.
