Police Reports

Area police departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

 

Addison

 

May 9

A 35-year-old Addison woman was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of Lincoln Court at around 8:58 p.m. Police said the suspect scratched, slapped and kicked the victim.

 

May 6

A 36-year-old Addison man was charged with aggravated domestic battery, interfering with domestic violence, and aggravated resisting arrest in the 100 block of W. Elizabeth at around 12:47 a.m. Police said the suspect ignored officer’s verbal commands, and pulled his arms away in an attempt to avoid arrest.

 

May 5

Police said Joshua E. Podzimek, 26, of Hoffman Estaes, had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for DUI and speeding at around 10:29 p.m.

 

May 4

Police said an officer responded to Chicago Police Department to transport and process a 21-year-old Addison man who had an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for domestic battery at around 7:45 a.m.

 

May 2

Mario T. Bautista, 35, of Cicero, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident near Lake and Itasca at around 7:58 p.m.

A 22-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery and battery in the 1100 block of Compton Point at around 10:08 p.m. Police said the suspect kicked the victim in the chest area, causing her to fall on her back and strike her head as well as bite a second victim on the hand.

 

Villa Park

 

May 4

Joseph J. Partipilo, 35, of Lisle, was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage near Route 83 and Lake at around 9:16 p.m.

 

May 3-May 4

Criminal damage was reported in the 600 block of E. Park. Police said an unknown suspect damaged the siding and front door of a residence sometime between 2 p.m. May 3 and 2 p.m. May 4.

 

May 3

Nicholas T. Alexander, 33, of Maywood, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, depositing material on a roadway, disobeying a traffic control device and making an improper turn near Route 83 at North at around 10:21 p.m.

Alex B. Scott, 60, of Bellwood, was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding on March 16. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued May 3.

 

May 2

Tabitha M. Marozza, 33, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license suspended, driving while registration suspended for no insurance, disobeying a stop sign and no insurance near Villa and Riordan at around 2:05 a.m.

 

May 1

A male juvenile from Villa Park was issued a local adjunction for possession of cannabis at Willowbrook High School at around 1:26 p.m.

 

April 30

Alejandro M. Espino, 26, of Villa Park, was charged with trespassing in the 600 block of E. North at around 1:24 p.m.

Theft was reported in the 700 block of S. Roy at around 6:30 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a package that was delivered to the doorstep of a residence.

A male juvenile from Villa Park was issued a local adjunction for possession of cannabis at Willowbrook High School at around 10:55 a.m.

 

April 29

Patryk Bykowski, 29, of Lombard, was issued a local adjunction for possession of cannabis in the 100 block of E. North at around 8:32 p.m.

Criminal trespass to vehicles was reported in the 700 block of W. Roy at 2:16 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect entered and rummaged through several unlocked parked vehicles. Nothing appeared to be missing however items were strewn about the vehicles.

A female juvenile from Villa Park was issued a local adjunction for possession of cannabis at Willowbrook High School at around 12:32 p.m.

 

April 28-April 29

Two incidents of burglary to an unlocked vehicle were reported in the 700 block of N. Biermann. In the first incident, which occurred between 5 p.m. April 28 and 6:42 p.m. April 29, police said an unknown suspect entered and rummaged through a vehicle parked in the driveway. A gift card and phone chargers were taken. In the second incident, which occurred between 7:30 p.m. April 28 and 7:50 a.m. April 29, police said an unknown suspect entered and rummaged through a vehicle parked in the driveway. It appears U.S. currency was taken.

 

April 28

Laura Y. Ramirez-Avalos, 19, of Villa Park, was charged with two counts of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to give information after an accident in the 100 block of W. Roosevelt at around 8:38 p.m.

Sebastian Cruz, 19, of Chicago, was issued a local adjunction for possession of drug paraphernalia near North and Villa at 10:52 p.m.

 

April 15

John K. Gage, 48, of Villa Park, was charged with cruelty to animals in the 1500 block of Ovaltine at 10:56 a.m.
