The 2019 inductees into the Willowbrook High School Athletic Hall of Fame included longtime Villa Park resident Brendan McArdle, who was inducted as an outstanding contributor. The athletic hall of fame held its 10th annual induction banquet on Jan. 31. One night later, the honorees were recognized at Willowbrook’s boys varsity basketball game in Villa Park. McArdle (left) is pictured with Willowbrook Athletic Director Brandon Murphy (right) at the game. McArdle, who has delivered the Villa Park Review for several years, has served as a ball boy for the Willowbrook boys soccer program for nearly 40 years. He has been the school’s girls soccer ball boy since that program’s inception in 1993.
