James W. Creaser, of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Ruth for 67 years. Loving father of Valerie (Terry) Pence, Jim, David and John Creaser. Dear grandfather of Monica Pence and Shawna Creaser. Dear brother of the late Phyllis (Ralph) Carson. Uncle and great uncle of many. Jim served as an Army radio operator during World War II and then in the Air Force Reserves. He was a professor of psychology at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and enjoyed painting, working with his hands, crossword puzzles, and lifelong learning. In retirement he and his wife volunteered for PADS and Meals on Wheels. He was an active member at Calvary United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday Jan 26, 2019, at Calvary United Methodist Church 136 E. Highland, Villa Park. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. For info 630-832-4161.
