HELEN CATANZARO
Helen Catanzaro, née Kub, age 95, a resident of Carol Stream, died November 22, 2018, at Johnson Health Care Center in Carol Stream, with her family nearby. She was born February 28, 1923 in Beroun, Minnesota.
She was born on a family farm in Beroun. After high school she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked in banking and insurance. Her career took her to New York, Milwaukee, and finally Chicago where she met her future husband Charles. They got married at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago on February 4, 1961. Settling in Lombard they raised their family. She became very active in the Lombard Service League and Lombard Historical Society.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Jim) Moe of Wheaton, and John (Cheryl) Catanzaro, of Wheaton; her grandchildren, Samantha and Joey Catanzaro, Natalie and Jaime Moe; her beloved niece Geralyn and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Anthony Catanzaro; her parents, Joseph and Barbara Kub; her brothers, Paul and Charles Kub.
A visitation and service were held at Hultgren Funeral Home, in Wheaton. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

HILDEGARD E. MORAN
Hildegard E. Moran, nee Marx, age 90, of Lombard, died November 28 at her home.
Hilde was the loving wife of the late John “Bill” Moran; loving mother of Karen (Mike) Baker of Colorado Springs, Kerry of Wheaton, Colleen (Michael) Burke of Glen Ellyn, Sean (Jacalyn) of Lombard and the late Tim; fond grandmother of 9; great-grandmother of 9; dear sister of the late Carl, Otto (Adele) and Max; many other relatives.
Hilde had been a Lombard resident since 1952. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She retired from Lombard School District 44 and worked at Hammerschmidt and Pleasant Lane Schools. She was a District 44 teacher for the deaf and a school librarian.
Hilde was married to the late Director of the Lombard Park District. She was a former member of the Lombard Junior Women’s Club and Pool Pals. She was an avid swimmer.
No Services will be held. Please omit flowers. Memorials to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NCPF, P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502) would be appreciated.
