Ruby Obradovich, age 99, of Northport, Alabama, passed away on December 21, 2025. She was born on September 12,1926 in Chicago, Illinois, and was one of nine children born to Mark and Jane (Plecas) Rajcevich. She lived in the West Chicago area, Bellwood and Elmhurst, Illinois, before moving to Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milan Obradovich, her parents, and 7 of her brothers and sisters.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Clayton (Brent) of Ashland City, Tennessee; and her sons, Milan Obradovich (Rita) of Downers Grove, Illinois, Mark Obradovich (Liz) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, George Obradovich (Jennifer) of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Daniel Obradovich of Stewart, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Fogleman, Christine Rozsavolgyi, Erin Obradovich, Mark Obradovich, Kimberly Holman, Michael Obradovich, Christopher Obradovich, Amy Haddad, Daniel Obradovich, and Sienna Candelari.
Ruby was a sports enthusiast, and her greatest pleasure was watching baseball. She loved being in the South, traveling, and decorating her backyard with her fun collection of yard art. She lived a grand life and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.
