Cold weather greeted a record turnout of participants and those who lined the streets of downtown Elmhurst Thanksgiving morning for the 42nd annual Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot, but a warm spirit of giving was in the air, and everything went without a hitch. The Turkey Trot is a 5K fun run/walk which raises funds to help the needy in DuPage County. While many of the participants this year dressed in comfortable running/walking attire, others donned costumes … and even Santa Claus walked the course for a great cause!
