Dolores E. Hoener, 96, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. Born in Elmhurst, Illinois on March 11, 1929, to the late Jacob and the late Sadie Komen.
Beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Ralph Hoener; loving mother of Mary Kay (David) Ignoffo, David (Dawn) Hoener, Don (Gina) Hoener, Jim (Karen) Hoener, and the late Nancy Hamilton; cherished grandmother of Tracy (Rich), Tony (Brittany), Lee (Jenn), Jay (Megan), Patrick, Jessica (Justin), Carly (Michael), and the late Nicholas; dearest great grandmother of Madi, Jayden, Blake, Adam, Jake, Cora, Jax, Caleb, Maeve, Hannah, Judah, Brigid, Henry and Juliana; fond sister of the late Edward J. Komen and the late Lucille M. Hafner.
Dolores was the past president of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Springwood II Ladies Club of Pinellas Park, Florida.
Dolores was a devout Catholic and a woman of profound faith.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur St., Elmhurst, IL. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
